In the video, I accidentally neglected to mention a few great resources that helped me to learn more about composition. I can recommend the Non-Designer’s Design Book (teaches aesthetics in design–not directly photography but definitely applicable), this video from Natalia Taffarel, Bryan Peterson’s Composition Field Guide, Eyewitness Composition, and Visual Focus by Caryn Esplin–who turned me on to the idea of art being a process rather than a rule. I read a MOUNTAIN of books on composition and design to lead me down the path to my work on the Block Method, but those resources were the most helpful to me.
